Eat
It’s best to not arrive on an entirely empty stomach. We don’t want any woozie welma’s passing out on the mat or the bike. But you probably don’t want to eat a huge meal right before either. Eat a light snack 30 minutes beforehand.
Can I wear my own shoes in cycle?
If you have your own cycle shoes - sure! Our clips are dual clips so we can accomodate Delta Look and SPD cleats. Don’t have cycle shoes? No worries - we rent them! And your first ride, they’re free. You can’t wear street shoes, unfortunately. But trust us, the experience is WAY better clipped in.
Hydrate
Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. For cycle or hot yoga, but especially hot yoga. We sell water (you can preorder on your app) and we have water bottle fillers at the studio.
Where do I park? Where do I go?
We have a parking lot in the rear of our building. It is a gravel lot that you enter from 4th street (between Campbell Ave and Salem Ave). There is plenty of street parking surrounding the building, as well. When all else fails - there is a paid parking garage on Campbell Ave directly across from the police station.
If you’re taking a yoga class, the studio is upstairs on the Campbell Ave level. If you’re taking a cycle class, the studio is on the bottom level which you can enter directly from the parking lot.
Dress
Not to impress but to be comfortable. Fitted workout pants such as yoga leggings or bike shorts, sports bra for females and a breathable fabric top. We recommend moisture wicking materials for ultimate comfort.
What about the heat in yoga?
Classes in our yoga studio are heated by infrared panels on the ceiling. They range from 80 degrees to 105 degrees, depending on the class format. Check our yoga class descriptions for info on the temperature of the class you’re interested in.
Most importantly…
Listen to your body! Our classes are designed with every body, every level of fitness in mind. We offer modifications during class and if you have an injury or health condition we need to be aware of - please let your instructor or the front desk know.
But we ultimately believe you did the hardest work just by showing up for class. So take it at your own pace. Not feeling the choreography or tension on the bike? Just pedal to the beat! Heat too much? Pose not in your practice? Don’t sweat it (figuratively because literally you will be sweating), find child’s pose or a seat or just towel off and grab water.
Your body is just like your mood. It is different every day and it changes throughout the day. What you could achieve yesterday may not be what you can achieve today and may not be what you can achieve tomorrow. Be kind. Be gentle. Be present.
